My Swear By Makeup Products

Hey, so no matter how many top 5 drugstore product picks I do, or how many monthly favourites posts I do, there will always be some makeup products that I will swear by till the end and I wanted to share with you for me what these products are:

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – so I know that this is all that I ever talk about but I don’t think that I can even put into words how incredible this concealer is, it has such an incredible coverage and it blends so easily either into your skin or the rest of your makeup and it helps to leave such a great base to put the rest of you makeup on, but what I find kind of sad is there isn’t a great range of colours, but I would definitely try it if you never have.

Soap and Glory One Heck of a Blot Powder – so as I say time and time again that I have bad oily skin which means I find really hard to keep foundation on my skin without looking shiny and sweaty which is something that I seriously hate but I have found for months now that this powder is so good for stopping me from looking shiny which I really love and it definitely prolongs the wear of foundation by hours, definitely try it if you have oily skin.

The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops in Lightening – now I have definitely spoken about these before, these have been life-saving for me over the past six months whether its adding them to my foundation to make it pale enough for my skin tone or putting it under my eyes to make my under eyes look bright and uplifted, this is such a lifesaver for me and I love them so much I buy them in bulk regularly, I would so recommend trying them for paler skin,

Maybelline the Falsies Mascara – so I know that I have spoken about this before but this is my favourite mascara of all time and I think that the waterproof version is just as good and possibly even better which is hard to find in any mascara, the reason why I love this mascara so much is that it makes the eyelashes look so full of volume and long and it is so easy to get a good curl and long looking eyelashes with this mascara.

Nivea Essential Care Lip balm – I think that I have mentioned this before but it’s a really nice lip balm I think that the reason I love it so much is the fact is lots of lip balms dry my lips out more that they moisturise them which I find so annoying and such a horrible feeling and this is the only lip balm I have ever found that works well for me at all times of the year which makes it such a great find for me and I use it every single day at least three times a day.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Last year I posted a Christmas related post every single day or December and this year I have decided to do the same, so this means that there will be a post every single day from the 1st to the 31st including everyday on Christmas and I hope that you are as excited about this as I am and comment below anything you would like to see in a post for one of the Christmas posts.

Let me know what your swear-by products are and we can see if there are any similarities. Let me know of anything you would like me to talk about in another future post. That’s all for now,

Stationary and Makeup Haul

Hey, so I know that this is a bit random but I have recently bought loads of stationary recently and a few makeup products so I thought I would share with you what I bought:

So the first thing that I picked up was from WHSmith, for a pencil case just to keep in my bag was a luminous orange and pink pencil case with a massive zip and I think that this is such a great size which is big enough to fit lots into it but still be small enough to fit into a handbag, the reason I got this was mainly because of how bright the colour is and also I love the quality and price of WHSmith products.

Ok so the next shop I went into was Rymans, so first I picked up a 10 pack of papermate inkjoy pens in black which I have used for quite a long time so I know that I like them and I think that I like them because of how easy they are to use and how easy it is to right with them, I also picked up a Stadelar Student Set, so this has a 15 cm ruler, one blue pen, 2 pencils, one sharpener, one rubber, so I got this so that I could get all of my essentials easily I one set of stationary, I also got another pack of pens which were the Bic pack of pens (4 blue, 2 black, 2 red, 2 green) and I got these so that I wouldn’t just have black pens, so that I could have a mixture of colours.

In Rymans I also got the Helix oxford shatter resistant 30 cm ruler which I love because if you bend it then it doesn’t make marks on the plastic and it is very hard to break, I also got some Stabilo boss original highlighters (green, yellow, orange and pink) which are so useful for highlighting important information, I also got a 20 pack of Stadelar Noris Club Colouring pencils I just got these to use in things like therapeutic adult colouring books but they’ve got all the classic colours and are really soft and easy to use.

The last thing I got to do with stationary was a 2017 diary from paperchase and it has such a pretty design on it with a painting or picture of a pink and blue sky with soft clouds with the quote this is my year on the front, the reason why I got this was because obviously this year is nearly over and well I never really buy planners and diaries but this year I decided that it was time to get organised and what better way to do it with than a pretty one from paperchase.

Ok, so the rest of the products I got are makeup products, so I went into boots and I got a Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip colour in flirtation and this is one of my favourite liquid lipsticks and this colour is such a gorgeous peachy pink colour and I already love this colour, I also got 3 Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid which feel really creamy on the lips, the first shade I got was 25-Orange shot which is a gorgeous orange toned bright red, the next colour I got was 45 – possessed plum which is a deep purple colour which is the perfect colour for autumn and the final colour I got was 50 nude thrill which is such a gorgeous nude and the only way I can describe this is it’s a light ashy brown colour which I just absolutely love and think that I’m going to start wearing this a lot.

I also picked up some of my absolute favourite products so I got the Collection lasting perfection in fair which is probably my most used concealer ever and that is because it has such great coverage and blending which feels really light on the face and I also got the Soap and glory one heck of a blot powder which is also one of my favourites because it literally magically makes your foundation all day long and I would definitely recommend it for anyone else, who like me has oily skin.

Finally, I went into the benefit shop and I bought the Dew the hoola I got this because I think I either got or bought a tester and I absolutely loved it and I used it every day until the tube ran out so I just had to go out and buy another one and I love how it feels but I’m really excited about this because this is actually the first benefit product I have ever bought but I will let you know how I get along but I’m seriously excited.

I hope you enjoyed this post and come back next week for another post. Let me know of anything you would like me to talk about in another future post. That’s all for now,

My Top 5 Beauty Shops

Hey, so I feel like sometimes it feels like there are so many shops where you can buy makeup from so I thought that I would share with you my top 5 favourite beauty shops to buy makeup and toiletries from:

Space NK – so this is a shop which is definitely at the higher end of the spectrum, basically this shop just has lots of higher end brands with some really great products and it carries some of my favourite higher end brands like Nars, Hourglass and Laura Mercier, this is a great place to go for if you have a larger budget and what I like about it is that it doesn’t just have makeup in stock, they also sell skincare, body care, perfumes and candles, overall this is one of my favourite shops just to pop into on the weekends to have a peruse.

Superdrug – so I think this is mainly a British chain of shops but this shop is a very drugstore end place and it is a perfect place to get some really good quality and affordable makeup, skincare and haircare and just everyday bits and bobs that you sort off need to just live in your bathroom for everyday use, but I do think that Superdrug is a really great brand especially if you are on a budget and I do think that they do a nice range of products and their own brand is just amazing value for the small amount of money you pay.

Boots – so this shop I sometimes joke with my friends is my second home, it is quite similar to Superdrug but (no offense Superdrug) better, if you need anything to do with beauty or body care or photo albums or medical, you will find it at boots, the only sad thing for me is that my local boots just isn’t very big now will most boots it has a high end and cheaper brands but it’s just not very big but honestly I don’t think that I have been into town over the past couple of years apart from maybe once where I haven’t just been in to see what’s new even if I don’t buy anything, this is definitely one of my all-time favourite shops.

The Body Shop – now I was kind of flickering between the body shop and lush because I love them both so much and lush certainly has it when it comes to bath products but I just feel like the body shop wins slightly because I just love their skincare and makeup products so much and I will literally use a body shop product at least two or three times a day but I will only use a lush product two or three times a week when I have time to relax but the body shop has amazing quality products and I don’t think I will ever stop buying their products.

Sephora – now this shop, it really does pain me to know that they are not in the UK because it is just the perfect shop with the most amazing brands in and if I ever found out that they were coming to the UK I would have a party but basically this is a shop that is in quite a few European countries as well as USA and it has lots of the brands that I find it quite hard to get a hold of in my area like Kat Von D and Becca and two faced but this shop is definitely higher end but I love it so much.

I hope you enjoyed this and let me know your favourite shops to buy beauty. Let me know of anything you would like me to talk about in another future post. That’s all for now,

October Favourties

Hey, so unfortunately October is over which means we are edging closer to that holiday that it is a little too early to talk about, anyway as October is over I thought that I would share with you my October favourites:

Makeup

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour in Flirtation – so I am a massive fan of Revlon products and I especially love their liquid lipsticks as they are so pigmented and feel not too drying on the lips, I just wish that they would dry a little quicker, but recently I got this new shade which I absolutely love, basically it is this bright peachy deep pink and this I think would just be perfect colour for summer and I can’t wait to use this more.

Maybelline the Nudes Palette – so I have been trying to use as many new eyeshadow palettes recently because I always end up just using the same palette for my eyeshadow look, so I have been trying quite a few new palettes and this is by far my favourite to use, it’s got some great different shadows with amazing pigmentation which overall can help you create a nice bronzy smoky look which is great for the colder parts of the year.

No7 Blusher Brush - I have been using this a lot recently to apply my blusher onto the apples of my cheeks and I really have been loving it, it is so soft on the skin but what I love about this brush is that it picks up the colour really well and applies in an even natural looking way onto the skin but I think that the only think I don’t like about this brush is that I think that you can only get this brush in a set of No7 brushes.

Body, Hair and Skin

Garnier Miscellar cleansing water – so when you have had a long day and it’s been busy and stressful, it’s just the worst when you makeup feels greasy and a little rank on your skin and you just want to clean your skin thoroughly, well at these times instead of doing a full on face wash I love to use this cleansing water and it is so nice to have on the skin and leaves my face feeling so clean and fresh afterwards,

Ciate Mini Nail Varnish in Sass Pot – so this nail varnish is a deep purple colour which I have had for ages but only just started to use, but I just thought that this colour is perfect for autumn and that it would match a lot of the dark lips that I have been wearing recently and I love how it works with this season, what I would say about this nail varnish though is that sometimes when you apply this, to get an opaque colour, you need two or three coats.

Music

Queen – now I have grown up listening to queen and I have always loved their music and I really enjoy listening to it and for me, this is the music that I could and will listen to my entire life but recently it has all I have been listening to and that means that I have been listening to this music my entire life and I have never gotten bored of listening to their music and I don’t think that I ever will and I just wish I could’ve seen them perform live.

TV Show

Don’t trust the B**** in apartment 23 – so recently I found this TV programme on Netflix and I'm not gonna lie I watched the whole programme within two or three days but honestly, I really love this programme, its such a funny programme and it has a lot of real life problems in it which anyone could be related to but I would say that this programme isn’t for younger viewers, it does have some questionable things in it but overall it is awesome.

I hope you enjoyed this and let me know what you have been loving. Let me know of anything you would like me to talk about in another future post. That’s all for now,
